History

The Pagani winery is located in Costeggiola, a lively, rural town in the hills of the Soave appellation. The hills define the “classico” area, which is the most historically significant and the highest quality growing area in Soave. Their estate gently straddles over to the Valpolicella, in the Valtramigna valley, known not only for the quality of the growing area for vineyards, but also for the cultivation of olives and cherries.

Although this family winery goes back to the 1960’s, we like to think that the history of the Azienda Agricola Pagani began in 2012, when Beatrice, grand daughter of the winery’s founders and accomplished enologist, took over the estate with the determination to relaunch the winery, starting from scratch.

She immediately ended the use of chemical based weedkillers and pesticides in the vineyards, and began the conversion to organic farming. The same philosophy carries on to the winery, where the winemaking methods strive for minimal intervention and for a natural expressiveness of the grapes in the wines.

Each of our wines: the Soave Doc Classico, the sparkling Recioto di Soave Docg, the Valpolicella Doc and the Amarone della Valpolicella, along with the original Igt La Bella and La Bella E+, is a genuine expression of Beatrice’s vision. Our history is in the making, day by day, thanks to new connections, new experiences and new challenges.
